Laura Loewy: Backcountry Yoga
Where Yoga Meets Outdoor Adventure
Numerous studies show that fresh air, wide open spaces, and forest smells do something profound to the brain. We passively enter a calm meditative state that allows us to lower our blood pressure and let go of stress. Practicing the physical aspect of yoga is all about becoming aware of our bodies to become more aware of ourselves. Doing this outside in nature truly allows us to dig a little deeper, pull back layers and become better persons in the process.
Our FounderLaura Loewy, founder of Backcountry Yoga, is a 200 hour ERYT, professional hiking guide, and Wilderness First Responder. Laura created Backcountry Yoga as a passion project to help offer new and exciting ways to connect with other yogi's in the great outdoors. Whether you're an experienced backpacker, or a total city bound hiking novice, Backcountry Yoga has a trip for you! Between our local hikes that give you a breif step into the woods, to our full weekend adventures, our mission is to help you find your comfort zone in the Backcountry.
